About this race
The Blobfest 10K combines a challenging summer road race with one of the most unique festival weekends in the Philadelphia region. Held during Phoenixville's annual Blobfest celebration, the race starts and finishes in front of the Historic Colonial Theatre, the famous filming location from the 1958 cult classic The Blob. Runners enjoy a festive atmosphere, themed course decorations, unique awards, and one of the most memorable finisher medals in the area, all while supporting a beloved local landmark.
Course notes
The 10K begins and ends in front of the Historic Colonial Theatre on Bridge Street in downtown Phoenixville. The course extends beyond the 5K route to provide a more challenging experience while maintaining the event's signature festival atmosphere.
Getting there
Free off-site parking is available at Phoenixville Middle School, located at 1000 Purple Pride Parkway. Complimentary shuttle service runs between the parking area and the race venue from approximately 6:00 AM until 11:00 AM. Additional parking can be found at Borough Hall and select downtown lots, though organizers strongly encourage arriving early or carpooling due to the popularity of Blobfest weekend.
