Blobfest 5k 2026
Run through the heart of Phoenixville, earn a Blob-themed finisher medal, and celebrate at the iconic Colonial Theatre during one of Pennsylvania's most unique festival weekends.
About this race
The Blobfest 5K is one of the most unique race experiences in the Philadelphia region, combining a fun and affordable road race with Phoenixville's famous annual Blobfest celebration. Starting and finishing in front of the historic Colonial Theatre—the iconic filming location from the 1958 cult classic The Blob—the race blends running, costumes, community spirit, and movie nostalgia into a one-of-a-kind event. Participants can expect themed race swag, enthusiastic spectators, and a festive atmosphere that extends throughout Blobfest weekend.
Course notes
The 5K begins and ends directly in front of the Historic Colonial Theatre on Bridge Street in downtown Phoenixville. The course winds through town as part of the larger Blobfest celebration and features themed course decorations created by local groups competing in a unique course decorating contest.
